Village Beat
A beautiful lesson on indigenous music.
A beautiful lesson on indigenous music.
Rogers tv Corner Brook is bringing you the beat of the city in the new show, Village Beat.
I was born and raised in Corner Brook, and I’ve lived here all my life.
I married and have three children. I graduated from Regina High School and the Manitoba Fire collage. I spent 32 years with the Corner Brook Fire Department, I retired with the rank of Deputy Chief.
I’ve always enjoyed being involved in my community. I served two terms on City Council, including a term as Deputy Mayor. I was a trainer with the Corner Brook Royals senior hockey team.
Music has always been a big part of my life. I play bass guitar with Griffin and Friends and the Sacred Heart Church Folk Choir. I’m also entering my third season as host of Village Beat, a music show that provides an opportunity to showcase local talent.
Throughout my life, I’ve tried to stay true to myself and follow my own path.
My motto is simple:
“I determine who and what I am, not someone else.”
