Next Generation 911 Launches on Vancouver Island
Vancouver Island is now the first region in B.C. to transition to the new Next Generation 9-1-1 network, bringing a faster, more reliable digital system to emergency calls. The upgrade is designed to help dispatch emergency services more efficiently today while laying the groundwork for future features like text-to-911, video sharing, and enhanced location tracking.
