Grass Fire Burning Near Shuswap Road
The City of Kamloops is asking people to avoid the area around East Shuswap Road while Kamloops Fire Rescue and the BC Wildfire Service respond to a grass fire discovered at around 3 p.m. today. As of 6 p.m., the fire was burning out of control across from Pineridge Golf course, and estimated at six hectares. BC Wildfire Service says the fire is suspected to be human-caused.
